For centuries people gave all kinds of explanations for this phenomenon. Racing rocks through the desert bed. Only recently did scientists discover the reason behind these sliding rocks. Remote observations showed that it is a rare combination of water, ice and wind. Some weigh as much as 700 pounds and may sit for years without moving. Having explored this location for several days, I was captivated by these 6 rocks in a race through desert tracks.A unique and marvelous combination of elements.
